Our hearts were heavy as we watched the tragedy unfold at Stoneman Douglas High School. We continue to be heartbroken over the devastation and pain many families are facing as a result. We unite with our brothers and sisters in churches across South Florida to lift up our prayers with one voice on behalf of the victims and their families.

Church United is a cross-denominational coalition of area churches united in mission to bring renewal to South Florida. Click Here to read a statement from their office.

Church United has a Mercy Fund which exists to provide aid in the event of a significant tragedy in the South Florida region. If you would like to contribute to the Church United Mercy Fund to assist the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School victims and their families, you can do so by clicking here.

First Presbyterian Church of Pompano Beach will hold a “Vigil of Prayer and Light” on Friday, February 16, 2018 at 7:30pm.

This Sunday the “Big Red Bus” will be in our church parking lot taking donations of blood. Please consider taking part in this blood drive as an expression of solidarity and sacrifice with and for our neighbors in South Florida. If you’re able to donate, please contact Peter Graham at dolfanpete72@bellsouth.net.

Loving God, loving people, connecting with our community, and connecting our community with Jesus.
